Aaliyah Dana Haughton and Aarti Mann

Aaliyah Dana Haughton came into fame in 1994, after she released her debut Album Age Ain't nothing but A number. At the time, she was just 15 years old. the time and the album became Gold. R. Kelly was a key influence on the collaboration which brought her into the limelight. In 1996 she collaborated with Jermaine Dpri and Timbaland in her second studio album One In A Million, that included the top-selling track If Your Girl Only knew. Aaliyah's second album, One in a Million was released in 1996. It featured the top hit single"If You Girl Only Knew. Aaliyah was a part of the legendary Jet-Li, the famous martial artist in Romeo Must Die (2000), an action and romance film. Joel Silver, film producer and director of Romeo Must Die, spotted her at an award ceremony. In 2002 she was part of the film vampire Queen of the Damned based on the Anne Rice book. She then got into the Matrix by playing Zee as Zee in The Matrix Sequels having also appeared on The Matrix Reloaded in 2003 and The Matrix Revolutions in the same year. In 2001, 1999, 2002, and 2003 she was nominated for four Grammy Awards. Aarti Mann is the first generation Indian-American who was born and raised in Connecticut. The stage name Mann is an abbreviation of her marriage name Mankad. Aarti Magnumdar is her formal name, but she has also used Aarti Magumdar. The acting career of her began in the mid 2000's, with a few roles on TV and films. Some of her most notable roles include Grey's Anatomy, Suits and Leverage. In addition, she has appeared in important commercials of brands such as Volvo which is an international automobile producer. She lives within Los Angeles with her husband and daughter. She continues to pursue her acting profession.
