The actress, who was a former cover model is living the life in Beverly Hills with her dogs Samantha and Olivia (above left). They were together for eight years, but separated for 20 years, but Ann Turkel is still struggling to deal with her husband's death, Richard Harris. Turkel, who was raised in Manhattan and is from a Jewish, middle class family, went to the Neighborhood Playhouse as well as the American Musical and Dramatic Academy by the time she turned sixteen. Ann's participation with her group as part of a fashion-themed event was the moment Gloria Schiff, editor of Vogue Magazine, discovered Ann. Within a matter of a few days after that, editor-in Chief Diana Vreeland commissioned Ann to shoot the very first Vogue Cover featuring photographer Richard Avedon. Ann was among America's most popular models. Her images appeared on the covers of prestigious magazines such as Vogue Bazaar, Cosmopolitan and numerous others. After two years Ann hit the international markets with her successful modeling for a number of companies in Europe and Japan to be the model of such cosmetic giants as Max Factor Revlon and Chanel.
